Renting in Northern Liberties Philadelphia: 2024 Guide

Northern Liberties — affectionately called "NoLibs" — was one of the first neighborhoods to gentrify north of Center City. It has an established arts scene, great restaurants, and a community park that gives it a genuine neighborhood feel.

Rent Prices in Northern Liberties

Studios: $1,000–$1,500/month. One-bedrooms: $1,300–$2,000/month. Two-bedrooms: $1,700–$2,600/month. Prices are slightly lower than Fishtown thanks to the neighborhood being a bit further from the El.

Liberty Lands Park

This community-managed park on 2nd Street is the heart of Northern Liberties. It hosts farmers markets, outdoor cinema nights, and community events. Living near the park is a premium but well worth it for families and dog owners.

Dining & Nightlife

Standard Tap, North Bowl, Khyber Pass Pub, and The Piazza (now Liberties Walk) are neighborhood staples. The dining scene is more low-key than Fishtown but has serious depth.

Getting Around

The Spring Garden stop on the Market-Frankford El is a short walk for most residents. The neighborhood is very bikeable, and multiple SEPTA bus routes run through. Street parking is more available than in Fishtown.

Northern Liberties offers a more settled, community-oriented alternative to the bustle of Fishtown. Find Northern Liberties rentals on Phillypad.
